London, ENGLAND: Chelsea have been crowned the England Premier League champions 2016/17 for the sixth time in their history. .

The Blues clinched the title with a 1-0 win at West Bromwich Albion on Friday.

An 82th minute lone goal from a Belgium national Michy Batshuayi, made them early champions with two games to play.

This is the sixth time Chelsea are winning the England premier league, the second in three years.

Tottenham who were the close rivals in second place, lost their game against West Ham earlier this month, giving Chelsea a good chance to win the title early.

Chelsea’s head coach Antonio Conte, took charge of the Blues last year July, after an awful campaigns that almost saw the Blues relegated in the 2015/16 campaign.

The Italian admitted that at the start of the season it was not easy, as they had to solve many problems.

However, the 47-year-old jumped in and now they are the chaps of England.

Their focus now will be on the Emirates FA Cup final, where they are playing against Arsenal on Saturday, May 27, at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
