AFC Leopards will now face their arch rivals Gor Mahia on Sunday in the rescheduled Kenyan Premier League match planned to take place at  Nyayo National Stadium.

The clash which was earlier postponed on Tuesday will now be played after AFC Leopards managed to secure rights to host the match at Nyayo on Wednesday .

Leopards who are the home team for the first leg of the Mashemeji Derby this season raised concerns over the safety of the fans of the two clubs and the capacity of Afraha Stadium to host matches of such magnitude.

The move prompted league governing body KPL to call off match before a decision was reached on Wednesday to have it staged at Nyayo which has been under renovation since the start of the year.

The two clubs are separated by two points after eight rounds to the season with Gor Mahia sitting second with 16 points while is Leopards sitting fourth.
