A passenger on Friday morning died while on a Kenya Airways (KQ) flight.
According to a statement from the Airline, the passenger was found dead on Friday morning at around 6:30am.
“Kenya Airways PLC (“KQ”) confirms that on Friday, 2nd September 2022, at around 6:30AM, KQ 002, on a scheduled flight from Nairobi to New York, a passenger was found to be unresponsive,” read the statement from KQ.
Further examination from medical personnel confirmed the passenger had passed away.
The death happened less than two weeks after another passenger traveling on a KQ flight to Nairobi from New York died onboard.

In the August 22nd incident, the flight had to be diverted to Casablanca, Morocco, for a medical emergency after the passenger was taken ill.
“We convey our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and sincerely apologize to our passengers for the inconvenience,” read the statement.
