A passenger traveling to Nairobi from New York died on a Kenya Airways flight on Monday.
In a statement, Kenya Airways PLC confirmed the incident saying that the passenger was onboard flight KQ003 operating from New York to Nairobi.
The statement states that the flight was diverted to Casablanca, Morocco, for a medical emergency after the passenger was taken ill.
“On arrival in Casablanca, medical personnel at the airport found the passenger unresponsive and was confirmed dead,” said KQ.
“We convey our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and sincerely apologize to our other guests for the inconvenience,” the airline added.
