Wasafi record artists, Naseeb Abdul Juma also known as Diamond Platnumz and Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa known by his stage name Rayvanny, have apologized to Tanzania’s music regulatory board, BASATA, just three days after they were banned from performing anywhere in the country.

The two who have a number of concerts lined up through the Wasafi festival were prohibited from performing within and outside Tanzania after they performed their song ‘Mwanza’ even after it was banned by the authority.

Wasafi festival still on despite ban

“Music regulatory board has come to an agreement to officially ban the two artists for their continued disobedience of laws governing issues of art in the country,” said a statement from BASATA.
