DP William Ruto graduates with a PhD at UoN

Nairobi, KENYA: Deputy President William Samoei Ruto has graduated with a post graduate doctoral degree (PhD) in plant ecology.

The Deputy President was among other graduands who graduated with the highest academic achievement at the University of Nairobi’s 60th graduation ceremony on Friday.

Not only will DP Ruto’s family be celebrating his doctorate degree but also his 52nd birthday as well as 27th wedding anniversary.

The DP graduated after pursuing his PhD from August 2012, centering his thesis on the impact of human activity on riparian reserve.

The graduation ceremony was graced by President Uhuru Kenyatta as well as the deputy’s wife.

Ruto also has a Bachelor’s degree in Botany and Zoology and a Masters in plant ecology from the same institution.
