Mombasa, KENYA: Police have confirmed the abduction of an Italian lady at Chakama in Malindi, Kilifi County.
Attackers armed with AK 47 rifles raided Chakama center, 80 kilometers from Malindi before opening fire indiscriminately on Tuesday evening injuring five people.

The attackers believed to be ” Al-shabaab” militants then abducted the 23 year old Italian.
She was a volunteer of Africa Milele Onlus, an NGO operating in the area.
In a tweet, the National Police service, assured residents that Police are currently tracking the gang in order to rescue the victims.
“All the injured persons were taken to hospital and officers were deployed to track down the gang’, said Police in the tweet.
