It is now no longer news that Bongo heavyweight Diamond Platnumz and his Kenyan girlfriend Tanasha Donna are no longer an item and Tanasha and his family do not see eye to eye.
It is now emerging that his family recently held a party to celebrate Tanasha’s exit just hours after the former NRG radio presenter left Dares Salaam for Nairobi.
According to Ijumaa Wikendi, a popular Tanzanian entertainment newspaper, the party was held at Diamond’s mother’s house in Madale-Tengeta in Dar es Salaam and was attended by among others Diamond’s sister Esma, his stepfather Shamste and close family friends.
Diamond’s sister reveals why he fears marrying Tanasha
According to Diamond’s stepfather Shamste who spoke to the paper,the party was a bachelorhood’s farewell party.
Though Shamte refused to reveal whether the party was meant to celebrate the Bongo star quitting Bachelorhood, Tanzanian outlets have indicated that the Bongo star’s family have been grooming a wealthy Omani bride for him.
According to Ijumaa wikienda the wealthy woman caught Diamond’s attention when he went to perform in the Arabian country accompanied by his mother, sister and his close family friend Juma Lokole.
The woman who reportedly also comes from a royal family is said to have hosted Diamond’s family for dinner where she expressed her interest.
It is then that Diamond’s mother who had a few months before been introduced to Tanasha started rooting for the Omani lady.
Uncertainty as Diamond postpones wedding with Tanasha Donna
Though Baraka FM cannot independently verify these reports, in April last year, the Bongo crooner was accompanied by his family to Oman where he performed before canceling an upcoming performance that was to be held in neighboring Bahrain arguing that the promoter had failed to secure them work permits early enough.
Diamond’s father Mzee Abdul Juma has acknowledged the existence of the Omani woman but he said he did not have much information on the issue.
“Hayo mambo mazito, nimesikiasikia kuhusu huyo binti wa Oman, lakini ili kupata ishu zaidi ngoja nifuatilie, maana sasa hivi nipo bize kidogo,” Mzee Abdul was quoted by the paper.
When bidding the family goodbye, reports indicated that Tanasha had clashed with the singer’s mother after she tried stopping her from leaving with their five-month-old son Naseeb Junior.
However, this is not the first time that the singer’s mother has been accused of meddling in her son’s relationship affairs.

Back in 2016, Tanzanian media reported that the singer’s mother had embarrassed his then-girlfriend, Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan during an incident where she slipped her fell and when the socialite rushed to help her, Sanura snubbed her help.
A few months later, Sanura would later invite Diamond’s rumored side chic Hamisa Mobetto to her birthday party that was snubbed by Zari Hassan.
During the much-hyped birthday party, Hamisa and Diamond’s sister wore matching outfits.
However, the relationship between Hamisa and Sanura would soon turn sour after the video vixen called paparazzi on Sanura who had gone visit her after she gave birth to Diamond’s second son Dylan.
Earlier that month, the singer had denied getting Hamisa pregnant urging the father of Hamisa’s unborn son to show up.
The animosity between Diamond’s family and Hamisa was much played in the public after Sanura confirmed beating the video vixen at Diamond’s Madale home during an altercation in May 2018.
A few months later, Esma told Tanzanian publication Dizzim online that Diamond’s current girlfriend was not taking care of him as his past flame who was Zari.
The current flame who was rumored to be Mobetto responded to Esma arguing that she was his girlfriend and not his househelp.
Hamisa had warned the family to respect her.
