The Tanzanian music industry is mourning the death of celebrated music producer Pancho Latino.
Popularly known as Mafia, the music producer died on Tuesday after drowning while swimming in the Indian Ocean at Mbudya Island in the Tanzanian capital of Dar es Salaam.
According to witnesses Mafia was swimming in the company of his friends when he drowned.
Fishermen later recovered his lifeless body which was taken to Lugalo Military hospital mortuary in Dares Salaam.
Tanzanian artists have come out to mourn the legend sending out their condolences to the family including Diamond Platnumz, Vanessa Mdee and AY have mourned the fallen hero.
Mafia has worked with Tanzanian artistes such as AY, Mwana FA, Vanessa Mdee, and Dully Sykes producing hits such as AY’s “Nangoja Ageuke”, Vanessa Mdee’s “Closer” and Mwana FA featuring AY’s “Usije Mjini”.
