Nairobi, KENYA: The government through the Ministry of Sports Culture and Heritage has announced a free entrance to Kasarani stadium on Sunday for the match between Kenya and Ethiopia for AFCON 2019 qualifiers.

In a statement sports cabinet secretary, Rashid Echesa has said the move is to ensure that Kenya qualifies for the AFCON 2019 championship to be held in Cameroon.

“I wish to announce that entrance to the stadium at Kasarani will be free of charge to allow Kenyans cheer their team to victory. Consequently, it’s important that as patriotic Kenyans it is our duty to support the team unreservedly,” reads the statement in part.

On Sunday Kenya will host Ethiopia in a return second leg after the team drew with Ethiopia yesterday in the first leg.

A win against Ethiopia will see Kenya stand a better chance of qualifying for the 2019 AFCON having amassed four points from three matches, a record that leaves them top of Group L on four points same with Ethiopia who has inferior goal difference.

Kenya last featured in African cup of Nations in 2004 under the tutelage of Jacob Ghost Mulee and veteran tactician Twahir Muhiddin.
