New year comes with new resolutions and if your resolution this year was to start eating healthy then try adding cabbages to your meal.
Cabbage is a highly nutritious, low-calorie vegetable rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. It is also rich in fibre which can help you improve your digestive health.
So what vitamins can we find in cabbages?
In cabbages, we will find Vitamins K, C, small amounts of vitamin A, and Vitamin B2 which convert carbohydrates into glucose to produce energy.
Being rich in fiber, cabbage is good for your digestive health. The vegetable contains gut-friendly insoluble fibre which helps keep the digestive system healthy by adding bulk to stool and promoting regular bowel movement.
Cabbage, found in four different colours (purple, red, green, and white) also contains antioxidants that help with inflammation by reducing certain blood markers of inflammation.
