Tanzania, the only East African Country in the coming AFCON 2023 edition, will participate for the third time in history after the 1980 and 2019 editions.
Defending Champions Senegal will battle against Cameroon, Guinea, and the Gambia in group C according to the draw conducted on Thursday.

Group A: Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau
Group B: Egypt, Ghana, Cape Verde, and Mozambique are in Group B
Group C: Senegal, Cameroon, Guinea, and The Gambia
Group D: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Mauritania, and Angola
Group E: Tunisia, Mali, South Africa, and Namibia
Group F: Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Zambia, and Morocco
Ivory Coast will host the tournament from January 13th to February 11th, 2024.
