Kenyans with old generation passports are advised to get the new e-passports by end of November.
According to Immigration Services, Kenyans with the old passports need to get the new bio-metric ones to avoid inconveniences.
“The Directorate of Immigration Services wishes to inform the general public that Kenya is bound to migrate fully to the new East African Community bio-metric e-passport by 30th November, 2022,” read a statement from the Immigration Services.
The deadline comes in line with the decision by East African Community (EAC) to phase out the old generation passport for all EAC member states by November 2022.
