Black stars and Al-Raed winger Christian Atsu has called on the Ghana football federation to consider Asamoah Gyan’s wish to participate in the coming world cup in Qatar.

The former Chelsea and Newcastle star said in his twitter account that the federation has to honour the legend by including him in the squad that will represent the country in November.

Gyan, 36, who emerged as a star man in the 2010 world cup in South Africa, on Tuesday expressed his wish to represent his country for the last time before hanging his boots forever.

The former Sunderland forward currently has no club and the last time he received call up for the black stars was in 2019 during AFCON tournament.

Atsu played with his fellow countryman in the 2014 world cup in Brazil and now wants the all time African top scorer in the world cup to be part of the Ghana national team squad.

Gyan who made his international debut at the age of 17, played a big role for the Gold Coast’s history successful world cup in 2010 when they reached the Quarter final in South Africa. Ghana will play against Uruguay, Portugal and South Korea in group H.
