The missing Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Returning Officer has been found dead.
Daniel Mbolu Musyoka, Embakasi East Returning Officer was found dead in Loitoktok, Kajiado County.
Musyoka was reported missing on Thursday 11th August, 2022, by his bodyguard APC Dennis Maina Gichure at Embakasi police station, three hours after his disappearance.
According to the police report, 50-year-old Daniel Mbolu Musyoka was last seen on Thursday 11th at around 9:45am when he excused himself for a call.
“His mobile phone is off. His duties at the tallying center are being conducted by the Assistant Returning Officer. He was not sick but has a medical history of high blood sugar. Search has been conducted in several surrounding hospitals but he is yet to be traced,” read the police report in part.
His body was discovered by herders on Monday at around 4pm in Kilombero forest.
