The voting exercise is continuing smoothly in several parts of the Coast region.
The exercise kicked off at 6am with several polling stations recording a high voter turn out in the early hours of the exercise.
Even though voting in several areas were disrupted by the rain and KIEMS network issues, generally the exercise is going on smoothly and peacefully.
Meanwhile, a voter at Kengeleni Primary School in Mombasa had to be assisted by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) staff to cast her vote.
The voter was assisted after she failed to recognize aspirants names since she was only familiar with their nicknames.
