Manchester United and Liverpool have travelled to Bangkok to take part in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday.

This is going to be a competitive match considering the rivalry of the two clubs.

This will be the first task for Eric Ten Hag as Man United Manager since his appointment and comes with a huge blow as he will miss his main man, Cristiano Ronaldo who is not in the squad due to family issues.

The Erik Ten Hag era is now about to get underway, with the Dutchman being well known for playing an attack style of football.

This friendly will be his chance to make an early impression and he’ll no doubt be keen to leave a mark against Klopp’s Reds early on.

On Liverpool’s side, Jurgen Klopp acknowledged that his side “doesn’t play friendlies” when it comes to their rivals and they will do what it takes to beat them.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s new signing Darwin Nunez was forced out of training after sustaining an injury a few hours before the clash.

This is the first time Liverpool and United have met in pre-season since 2018, when the pair faced off in front of 100,000 fans in Michigan where Liverpool won 4-1.

A capacity crowd of up to 51,000 is expected tonight in Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The two sides will meet in the league on the third match day of the new season of the English Premier league.
