Police in Nandi County have launched a manhunt for a 17-year-old suspect who killed his cousin over a phone charger.

The deceased, 31-year-old, Josphat Kibet, is said to have gotten into an argument with the suspect over phone charging.

“Preliminary Investigations indicate that the two had argued over who would charge their phone first, before the young man reached for an arrow, stabbed the deceased on the left side of his chest before taking off,” said the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.

Kibet was pronounced dead on arrival at Kapsabet County Referral hospital from the arrow wound inflicted on him by the juvenile.
