Matiang’i confirms Monday public holiday

Monday 2nd May has been confirmed as a public holiday.

In a press statement, Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i confirmed the holiday asking Kenyans to use the day to celebrate workers contribution in the growth of the country.

“In line with the provisions of Section 2 and 4 of the Public Holidays Act (Cap 110), it is hereby confirmed that 2nd May 2022 will be a public holiday, by dint of Labour Day falling on Sunday 1st May 2022,” read the statement in part.
