Kin of Woman pushed to her death in Nyali wants justice

The family of a Woman who died after being pushed from a balcony in Nyali,Mombasa County wants justice.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Mrs. Tabitha Keya, aunt to the deceased, Ms. Sharon Keya, said they want the suspect, a Ugandan national, to be detained until justice is served.

” What we want is justice from Kenya and our government. An illegal immigrant who turned to be a murderer should not be let loose”, said Keya.

An emotional Keya said Sharon who was a promising young woman was killed for no reason.

Last week, the suspect Mr.Suleiman Mayanja  was arrested after fleeing the scene of crime.

The deceased is a 25-year-old woman, who had earlier in the night been invited to room A10, by a man named Muyanga Suleiman,according to DCI facebook report.

Meanwhile former Taita Taveta Woman Representative Ms. Joyce Lay has contracted lawyer Mr. cliff Ombeta to follow up the case on behalf of the family, according to executive Director of Together for society Edwin Shamir.

Shamir urged the government to ensure the Ugandan suspect does not sneak out of the country.

” If it were a Uganda who was murdered here in Kenya, their government would have ensured justice prevailed, so we are asking our government to do the same”, he stated.

The late will be buried in Bungoma County.
