Body of man who drowned in Ukunda, found in Likoni

Police have recovered body of a man floating on the ocean next to Pungu Villa in Likoni, Mombasa County.

The body of the Bakari Ramadhan is believed to have been swept by waves from Ukunda beach.

Ramadan, a resident of Mwabungo village in Ukunda went missing on Wednesday afternoon while on a fishing expedition.

He left his behind his clothes at the shores.

According to his family, they were alerted by clothes that the father of three had left at his usual changing site before fishing.

Ramadan failed to return home the following day prompting his family to report a missing person at Diani police station.

This incident came barely few hours after the recovery of two other bodies out of three brothers who drowned in a similar way at Vipingo in Kilifi County.

One body is still missing according to the family.
