Step fathers have been accused for the rising cases of sexual violence on young girls in Kilifi County.
According to Kilifi Mums WhatsApp Group founder Ms. Kibibi Ali, divorced women or widows who remarry have seen cases of sexual abuse on their daughters from their step fathers.
She also blamed women for protecting the predators who engage in sexual abuse against their daughters.
“They keep quiet when the abuse happens because they want to protect their marriages”, she added.
Ms. Ali also urged residents to report such cases to the authorities so that victims can get justice.
“Train your daughters to report any misconduct from their step-fathers against them as this will protect them”, she added.
