Malindi Mp Aisha Jumwa and her bodyguard Geoffrey Otieno are being detained at Port Police Station.
The two are set to undergo a psychiatric examination and pre-bail assessment to ascertain mental suitability to murder charges.
The two are facing murder and assault charges in the death 48-year-old
Gumbao Jola, the late uncle of Ganda ward Member of County Assembly Reuben Katana.
Jola was shot dead by an unknown person in the presence of police and elected leaders two days before the highly contested Ganda ward mini polls.
Their plea-taking case is set for Thursday 22nd October 2020.
