Police in Mombasa on Sunday shot dead a gangster suspected of terrorizing residents in Likoni.
Confirming the incident, Likoni Sub County Police Commander Jane Munywoki said that the deceased was a member of a criminal gang known as ‘Chafu’ that has been terrorizing residents.
Police also managed to arrest another suspect who is being held in custody and they believe will help in the ongoing investigations.
Munywoki further said that they recovered a machete and two axes from the deceased following an hour operation.
This comes a few days after a man was attacked by a suspected criminal gang and robbed in Mrima area Likoni.
