22 test positive for COVID-19 while 376 recover

376 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the disease to raise the country’s COVID-19 recoveries toll to 27,035.

Speaking on Monday during the daily COVID-19 briefings, Health Chief Administrative Secretary Dr. Rashid Aman said 360 of the new recoveries were from the home-based care while 16 were discharged from various hospitals across the country.

Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 infections in the country rose to 39,449 after 22 more people tested positive for the disease.

Of the new cases, 15 are male and seven female with the youngest being 18 and the oldest 65 years old.

“So far 1,029 healthcare workers, have have been confirmed positive with COVID-19 in the country. Out of this, 526 are males while 503 are females. Our fatality for the healthcare workers still remains at 16,” said CAS Aman.

Four people succumbed to the disease, bringing total fatalities to 735.

Total active cases in the country now stand at 11,679.
