The Inspector General of police Hilary Mutyambai has ordered the arrests of Kandara Member of Parliament Alice Wahome and her Kiharu counterpart Ndindi Nyoro over chaos that erupted at Kenol in Murang’a County on Sunday that left two people dead.

“The Inspector General has directed that Members of Parliament (Mps) Hon.Ndindi Nyoro and Hon.Alice Wahome to be tracked and arrested immediately for mobilizing goons who caused mayhem at Kenol this morning,” read a statement from the National Police Service.

Mutyambai also ordered for the tracking and detaining of the vehicle that was used to ferry the goons to assist with investigations.

An earlier statement from the police revealed that two people lost their lives after a conflict ensued between two opposing groups at Kenol in Murang’a County.

“We urge politicians to desist from engaging in inciteful utterances and acts. Stern action will be taken against any person engaging in planning and executing unlawful acts,” read the statement in part.

The chaos erupted just ahead of DP Ruto’s visit to the area. Ruto was supposed to preside over a fundraising at the AIPCA church in Kenol.
