Coast region records 14 new COVID-19 cases as 605 are recorded nationally

The coastal region has recorded 14 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

Mombasa recorded nine new cases; Taita Taveta has recorded three cases while Kilifi County has two new cases.

The Ministry of Health on Tuesday announced new 605 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours from a sample of 4,547 tests bringing a total of 23,202 positive cases in the country.

Health CAS Rashid Aman also confirmed 587 recoveries 500 of them being from home-based health care while 87 were released from hospitals bringing a cumulative total of 9327 recoveries.

Six more people have succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours.

Nairobi continued leading in new cases at 373, followed by Kiambu with 35, Migori with 25, Busia with 20, and Narok at 20.
