Diamond Platnumz’s manager Hamisi Shaban Tale Tale alias Babu Tale is the Morogoro south east constituency Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) flag bearer.
This is after he trounced Tanzania’s assistant Agricultural minister Omary Mgumbe who is the incumbent to clinch the CCM seat.
Tale garnered 318 votes against Mgumba’s 242 votes.
Former Morogoro council treasurer Kibena Kingo came in third after garnering 42 votes.

Speaking after being announced as the winner, Tale said if he emerged victorious during the national election slated for October, he would prioritize education, security, and construction of roads.
Diamond Platnumz congratulated Tale saying he would help him campaign aggressively till he clinches the seat

His victory comes less than a month after he lost his wife Shamsa Tale who succumbed to an unknown ailment in the capital Dar es Salaam.

Tale becomes the second showbiz personality to express his interest in politics in the Morogoro region.
Rapper Professor Jay who goes by his birth name Joseph Leornard Haule is the current Member of Parliament for Mikumi constituency which is also located in the Morogoro region.
Professor Jay was however elected on the opposition Chadema party ticket.
