Diamond Platnumz’s manager Babu Tale has said that they sought the services of a witch doctor to ensure the success of the much anticipated Wasafi festival that went down on Saturday at postal grounds ,Kijitonyama in Dares Salaam.

Speaking to Wasafi media, Tale said that they were forced seek the services of a witch-doctor in order to prevent heavy rains from pounding Dares Salaam on Saturday.

The festival was headlined by continental acts such as Wizkid and Tiwa Savage.

“ As it is right now, we are busy calling the witch doctors to prevent the rains on Saturday. When you see someone rushing to a witch-doctor just know that they have tried all the options available. We are all Africans” Babu Tale said a few days before the festival.

Subsequently, speaking to Wasafi media on Sunday, Tale confirmed that it was not easy to use the witch-doctors to stop the rain.

“ The team is headed to Zanzibar on holiday, a lot of work went into preparations  including preventing the rain and bringing in the sun” Tale said.

This is the second time the artiste is being linked to the use of black magic to ensure that his musical career is successful.

In 2017, his ex manager Maneno said that he had taken Diamond and other artistes including ex wasafi crooner Rich Mavoko and late artist Sam wa Ukweli to seek the services of a witch-doctor in  Kigamboni  in the Eastern part of Dares Salaam.
