Lamu,KENYA:Ten suspects have been arrested following the hacking to death of Nyumba kumi activist in Lamu Amina Bakari.
According to eyewitnesses, Amina Bakari, 25, was at her shop when the attackers struck.
The incident happened in Mbwajumwali village of Kizingitini in Lamu East Sub County.
The attackers then proceeded to hack her killing her on the spot.
The deceased also volunteered with the Lamu branch of the Kenya Red Cross Society.
Lamu county commissioner said the suspects were arrested in Mbwajumali area.
He said the suspects will be arraigned in court.
According to the Lamu county commissioner Joseph Kanyiri who confirmed the incident, the deceased was closing her shop when the attackers struck.
