A section of members of parliament drawn from the coastal region have called on the office of Directorate of Criminal investigations to initiate a probe of an incident where six dead bodies were discovered in Tsavo West National park earlier in the week.
In a media briefing at parliamentary buildings, the MP’s led by Bura member of parliament Ali Wario, and his Garsen counterpart Guyo Ali Wario, the legislators condemned the incident in the strongest terms possible.
The legislators want the government through the office of the DCI to unravel the mystery behind the demise of the people of who were allegedly killed and those who might have masterminded the killings.
“We are dismayed by the news that  6 bodies were found in the Tsavo West National Park. A man from Tana River was lost and thrown to the river .”Wario (Bura) said.
“Who are these people and under what circumstances were they killed? I want the DCI  to investigate who are these people and who killed them.”Wario (Bura ( added
They insisted that the killings must also unravel whether the deaths might have been occasioned under the auspices of extrajudicial killings.
The 6 bodies whose identity remains unknown were stumbled upon by KWS rangers conducting a patrol with police suspecting the men must have been killed elsewhere and dumped inside the park.
