Malindi member of parliament Aisha Jumwa has been ousted from the Orange Democratic movement party.
The Ouster of the legislator was reached by the party organs including National Executive council and National governing council.
“Hon Aisha Jumwa Karissa Katana be expelled from the party as per the recommendation of the disciplinary party,” the statement from ODM read.
On the other hand Msambweni member of parliament Suleiman Dori was pardoned after sending an apology letter to the party. His fate will however be known after 60 days .
“Having received a letter of apology, from Hon Suleiman Dori the members resolved to defer its decision and summon him, to a special session of the National Governing Council to mitigate his case,” also read the statement signed by ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.
Jumwa might be prompted to face a fierce by-election if other avenues she pursued including judicial decisions will not be in her favor.
