Former Kakamega senator, Boni Khalwale, was on Tuesday quoted saying Jubilee government is worse than Moi’s regime.
Khalwale who was speaking during an interview with a local Tv station said the high rate of corruption scandals that has rocked the Jubilee administration had worsened than Moi’s era.
“Theft of public funds has become a way of life in Kenya and it has gone from tens of thousands of shillings in the Moi era to billions of shillings in the Jubilee era”, said Khalwale.
However, former Mp for Gem Jakoyo Midiwo differed with Khalwale on the war against corruption
“I think we are winning the war on corruption but the authorities need to do more. Investigative authorities cannot in themselves be corrupt and we expect to win.” Midiwo said.
This comes just as the country is staring at another possible scandal at the National Irrigation Board where the almost defunct Galana-Kulalu project worth sh 5.9 billion is involved.
