Abdalla wins KPL January best player accolade

Mombasa, KENYA: Bandari FC forward Abdallah Hassan has been feted as the Kenyan Premier League best player for the Month of January.

Hassan has claimed the gong after having had a purple patch run in January where he scored three goals propelling Bandari to the second position in the league’s table standings.

He fended off competitions from Kakamega Homeboyz striker Allan Wanga and Cliff Nyakeya of Mathare United both who had the same number of goals.

The accolade sees Hassan Abdallah take home a personalized trophy, cash prize of sh.100,000 and 49 inch LG smart TV while his club received sh.100,000 for his services courtesy of Sportpesa who are the sponsors of the award.

Bandari who sits at the apex of the league having amassed 31 points from 14 matches will host second placed Mathare United in a top of the table clash scheduled for Saturday at KPA Mbaraki.
