Mombasa, KENYA: Police have recovered assorted spare parts suspected to have stolen from various parts of Mombasa.

The parts estimated to be worth sh.5 million were recovered inside two

storein Changamwe area.

The police who were acting on a tip from the public raided the stores on Wednesday morning.

According to the Changamwe OCPD Peter Omanwa, most of the spare parts are suspected to have been stolen from various transport yards in Mombasa.

“We managed to recover 14 computers, 4 gear levers, and 4 gear levers remote controls” Omwana told journalists.

Police also recovered several radio vehicles.

The computers recovered are normally used in Mercedes trucks.

Though no one was arrested, Omwana said that the phones the suspects are suspected to be using had been located in the area.
