Kilifi, KENYA:10 people on Tuesday afternoon sustained injuries after being involved in an accident in Gogoni area of Magarini sub- County, Kilifi County.
According to the Magarini Sub-county police boss, Gerald Barasa,the accident occurred when a matatu that was ferrying passengers from Malindi collided with an oncoming Tuk Tuk which was headed to Malindi.
The driver of the Tuk Tuk was seriously injured in the carnage.
Other victims who sustained injuries during the incident have been admitted at the Malindi Sub-county hospital.
Police have launched investigations to ascertain the cause and the vehicles involved in the crash have been detained at the Malindi police station.
This comes less than a month after one person lost his life after the vehicle he was traveling in collided with a van ferrying tourists in Chumani area.
