South African rapper and producer HHP is dead.
The rapper whose real names are Jabulani Tsambo was found dead on Wednesday.
HHP was married to South African socialite and tv star Lerato Sengadi who confirmed the news of his death .
It is not yet clear what his cause of death was but South African media reported that the rapper had been constantly battling depression.
The news of HHP whose stage name initials stand for Hip Hop Pansula death broke just hours after South African online magazine Zkiphani TV aired an interview where he was talking about his latest EP.
However HHP looked comfortable and calm in the interview.
In 2015, South African media reported that the rapper had attempted suicide thrice even going to the extent of visiting a website to look for information on how to commit suicide.
HHP was aged 38 at the time of his death and several rappers including AKA have mourned the rapper.
The rapper worked with several artistes including Casper Nyovest South African house duo Liquedeep for the club banger ‘Born for this’.
During season 1 of musical show Coke Studio, HHP who had been merged with Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz performed several hits including their own rendition of Psquare’s hit temptations.
