Kilifi County secretary Arnold Mkare has raised alarm over misuse of county resources especially vehicles.
Mkare claimed that the County staff are using County vehicles to engage in business of ferrying goods and also running personal errands.
“They use County vehicles at night to ferry firewood and charcoal and that is unacceptable”, he said.
Speaking in Tezo during a burial ceremony, Mkare also claimed that some have turned the County vehicles into hang out joints with their lovers.
He warned that the County government will reprimand any staff member found culpable.
Mkare further urged members of the public to report drivers and people misusing County resources.
“The County Government spends a lot on fuel hence will not allow those vehicles to be misused.” He warned.
