Nairobi, KENYA: Migori governor Okoth Obado will spend another two days in remand at the Industrial Area Prison.

High Court Judge Jessie Lessit on Tuesday afternoon set the bail application ruling for the governor, for Thursday afternoon.

Obado, who is being charged with the murder of Sharon Otieno, will be remanded at Industrial Area Prison as he awaits the ruling of Judge Lessit.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Obado was arrested last Friday and spent the weekend at Gigiri police station, before being remanded at Industrial Area Prison on Monday, as per the orders of Lady Justice Jessie Lessit.

The prosecution is seeking to have Obado denied bail citing that the accused is fit to stand trial after a mental assessment confirmed he is of sound mind.
