Obado reported to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations office in Kisumu after he was summoned by detectives looking into the murder.

In a separate event relating to the murder, a group of University students, human rights activists and members of the clergy took to the streets in Nairobi to demonstrate against the killing of the second year student who was seven months pregnant at the time of her death.

The protesters matched from Jeevanjee gardens to vigilance house then to the Office of the President to present their petition.
