Nairobi KENYA: Migori Governor, Okoth Obado’s personal assistant, Michael Oyamo, has been arraigned in Milimani law courts in Nairobi over the death of Sharon Otieno.

Oyamo, who is yet to be charged, was transferred from Homa Bay county on Tuesday evening.

He had been released from custody on Tuesday following a court order, but rearrested by homicide detectives as soon as he set foot out of the police station.

Oyamo underwent a DNA test to establish the paternity of Sharon Otieno’s baby.

Sharon, a second year Rongo University student, was seven months pregnant at the time of her death.

Autopsy reports revealed that she was strangled, raped and stabbed eight times.

Migori governor, Zachary Okoth Obado, was on Tuesday also questioned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) over the murder.
