Four Police officers summoned in Mombasa over British Aristocrat son’s death

Mombasa, KENYA: Mombasa high court has summoned four police officers linked with the murder of Alexander Monson to appear and face murder charges before the court next week.

Justice Erick Ogola on Friday directed County Investigation Office through the office of police Commander to summon Police Seargent Naftali Chege, Constable John Pamba, Charles Wangombe Munyiri (former head of Tourist Police Unit in Diani) and Constable Ishamel Baraka Bulima to appear in court on 4th July to plead to murder charges.

The court had forwarded the ruling to the DPP with recommendations to  prosecute the culprits who caused the death of the Alexander’

The court ruled that the late Monson died due to head trauma and not due to drugs as alleged by police.

He died on 19th May 2012 in Diani after he was arrested and detained at Diani police station for allegedly being in possession of narcotic drugs in Kwale County.

DPP Noordin has directed police officers to be charged with the murder following the ruling of an inquest surrounding the death of Monson.
