Nairobi, KENYA: AFC Leopards have suspended its head coach Robert Matano, citing team’s recent performance.

Reports indicate the club’s hierarchy has asked the tactician to step aside with his future at the club set to be determined in an Executive Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday next week.

His assistant Dennis Kitambi has since been tasked to prepare the team for this Saturday Premier League clash away at Sony Sugar.

The 13-time Kenyan Premier League champions started the new season with one win, losing one and drawing one in the first three matches of the league.

They were also bundled out of the CAF Confederation cup on away goal rule after drawing 0-0 with Fosa Juniors of Madagascar having battled for 1-1 at home in the first leg.
