Atwoli urges Raila to do way with swearing-in ceremony

Nairobi, KENYA: Central Organization for the Trade Union ,(COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli has called on National Super Alliance leader Raila Odinga to rescind his decision of being sworn in as the president of the Republic of Kenya.

Addressing the media on Friday in Nairobi, Atwoli said that the move by NASA will create uneasiness among the people and distract the prevailed peace that started to build up.

” I want to appeal to my friend Raila Odinga, I know he is a great leader but for the sake of peace of the country, I urge him to pull out the ambition of getting sworn in on 12 of December,” Atwoli said.

The COTU secretary argued that investors have pulled out of businesses for fear of losing out following the anticipation of political uncertainty witnessed in the Country.

He, therefore, urged the two political leaders who encompass president Uhuru Kenyatta and Odinga to loosen their stands and embrace dialogue as that is the only solution to the goodwill of the people.

“I also want to appeal to our two leaders, to put their difference aside and just meet and talk; the talk should not only mean to have nusu mkate. ” He said.

Atwoli added that Kenya has lost many lives and jobs, due to their hard stands in the last few months.

Atwoli believes that if the forefather of the country brought freedom, the two leaders from the same forefathers should implement the same.
