Mombasa,KENYA:One person has been reported dead and four others injured in an accident involving the Technical university of Mombasa university bus in Maungu area of Taita Taveta County along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
According to sources the bus was ferrying 30 students among them Volleyball players to the Jomo Kenyatta University of agriculture and technology for the Kenya University student’s association games when it rammed into a trailer.
The co driver identified as Bwana Abdumani perished in the accident.
“Four were injured and they were taken treated and discharged at the Moi district hospital in Voi” The source who requested anonymity told Baraka FM.
This comes just hours after the institution was closed down due to lecturers strike and students ordered to leave the institution before 9.00 am Sartuday.
