Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan has just announced that she will not be attending the founders entrepreneurship forum 2017 that was scheduled for the 17th of November in Nairobi.
On her Instagram account Zari blamed the organizers.

“I know so many were excited and looking forward to this weekend and so was I, but due to unforeseen circumstances on the side of the organizers of the event I will not be coming to the Founders Entrepreneurship Forum taking place on Nov.17th. I will keep you informed of any changes or developments.” Wrote Zari on her Instagram page.

However the organizers of the Forum have blamed the political situation in the country saying that was the reason they called off the forum.

Moranga Innocent the founder of the Forum said the return of NASA leader Raila Odinga to the country was one of the contributing factors.

“Following consultation with the local authority, police and Zari Hassan management it was determined that the political developments in Nairobi and the effects of the activity that will be happening at the airport, Mombasa road and in town that same day have proved possible to pose a risk to our International speakers.”

“We have come up with alternative date that will be communicated soon after taking into account the political climate and availability of our speakers.”

The return of NASA leader Raila Odinga has caused a lot of uncertainty in the City as his supporters went to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to welcome him paralyzing business along the busy Airport North road and parts of Mombasa road and Jogoo roads.

Zari was set to speak at the forum alongside the chairman of Bidco East Africa Vimal Shah and others such as Betty Kyalo and Adelle Onyango.
