Kilifi, KENYA: Kilifi county is among top counties that have embraced Nyumba Kumi initiative by reporting incidences especially on security matters .
In an exclusive interview with Baraka FM on Friday, Nyumba kumi initiative chair Joseph Kaguthi said that Kilifi is one the counties with high cases being reported especially touching on disco Matanga incidences.
“Like in Kilifi you get a lot of messages from citizens reporting on disco Matanga .That we are not able to sleep.”Kaguthi said
Kaguthi applauded Wananchi in Kilifi and Kakamega county which have high cases of reportage of such matters.
He urged wananchi to report matters related criminality to the initiative by using code 22068 so as to help the state in enhancing security by criminal elements in the society.
He urged members of the public to use such code if they feel threatened ,fear or failed to be attended to by any public officer.
Kaguthi urged the Nyumba Kumi initiative administrators to cooperate with governors and deputy governors to arrest any situation which might be occasioned, as a result of the ongoing political demonstrations to avert any incidences of loosing properties and businesses.
He urged parents to report any cases of their children in case they go missing and after they trace them so as to help the state to ascertain whether they have been radicalized by terrorist groups in bid to avert incidences of terror activities in the country.
