Mr.Shabhal was on Friday heckled before deputy president William Ruto over alleged poor leadership.

Earlier, Shabhal was to oversee Coast region politics and ensure president Kenyatta wins, however last week the deputy president appointed Najib Balala to head Jubilee party campaign team at the coast region.

Balala vied for Mombasa senatorial seat in 2013 elections but lost to former Senator Hassan Sarai Omar.

Mr. Balala has said he will work with all the Coast 2017 aspirants both who lost and those who won, to ensure Kenyatta gets 50% more than what he got in August.

” I am going to use my resources to ensure Jubilee wins even if I am a cabinet secretary i have a mandate to support the manifesto of my party,” he said.

He further said they are going to start grass roots campaign.

Mr.Balala has also said the Tourism industry has been affected by the violence witnessed in various places after the 8th August elections.

“Violence witnessed in Kibra,Mathare and Kisumu after presidential results announced has affected not only tourism but also our economy,” he said.

He has also asked politicians not to make remarks likely to sabotage the country’s economy ahead of the presidential polls.
