Mombasa,KENYA:President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday questioned Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho’s track record saying he has little to show since he was elected in 2013.

Speaking in Changamwe when he commissioned the construction of Mombasa-Nairobi bypass, Kenyatta said Mombasa is filthy and dirty( while pointing at Joho’s billboard a few meters away) yet Joho is busy mounting billboards to dupe people that he is working.

Namuona Sultan wenu akisema we deliver na Mombasa inanuka jameni.Hio ndio delivery jameni? Aahh tuambieni ukweli (‘Your Sultan has mounted billboards saying ‘we deliver’. Is that delivery? Mombasa is filthy) he told a cheering crowd.

President Kenyatta also warned Joho against abusing him.

He stated that no amount of verbal attacks will make him lose focus of serving Kenyans.

“Kila siku anasimama anatutukana.Yani anadhani matusi yake yatatukosesha usingizi.Tulala jamani (He thinks his abuses will deny us sleep. No, we will sleep peacefully)’ he stated.

Kenyatta also challenged NASA leaders to state projects they initiated while serving in the government.

According to Kenyatta, opposition leaders led by Raila Odinga have no authority to question his track record yet they did nothing while serving in government.

“Some people have been in government for 30 years. They are just all talk and no action. They had enough time to bring change but they did not. Now they are here talking about change,’ he added.
