Nairobi; Kenya: Musician Jaguar and the incumbent Member of Parliament Maina Kamanda will face off again for the Jubilee party ticket for the Starehe constituency.

This follows the suspension of the nominations results that had declared Kamanda the winner prompting protest from Jaguar who claimed the exercise was marred with irregularities.

While announcing the nullification of the results of the primaries, Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju said they have since launched investigations on the rigging allegations raised by Jaguar.

Unofficial results had indicated that Charles Njagi Kanyi famously known as Jaguar was leading and was likely to oust the incumbent.

In the turn of event, Maina Kamanda was declared the winner with 10, 384 votes to Jaguar’s 8,300 results that saw chaos erupt at Jamhuri High School in Nairobi on Thursday.
